Osfer Plains Empty

With his pack slung across his back, Markus slowly made his way across the Astral-Osfer border. The land dominated by dwarves had proved useless in his quest, so he had decided to return to his homeland. As he continued down the road, a man jumped out from a nearby tree, bow and arrow in hand, along with two others behind him.

“Excuse me, old timer, but I’m going to have to ask you to hand over everything of value to the three of us.”

Markus dropped his pack on the ground and replied, “It’s sitting right here for you, if you can take it…” He assumed an unarmed fighting stance.

The head bandit sheathed his bow and took out a dagger. “This shouldn’t be too hard then,” he chuckled.

When he approached Markus, he lunged at him. In reaction, Markus parried the blow, grabbed the bandit’s wrist, pulled him closer, and then hammer fisted him in the temple, knocking him out instantly. As the other two bandits fired a pair of arrows at him, Markus heaved the first bandit up, using him as a shield. The arrows hit him square in the back, and he regained consciousness screaming and blood was dripping from his mouth. Dropping him to the floor, Markus then Flashed the other two, buying him precious seconds. When the second bandit, regained his sight the first thing he saw was Markus’s fist connecting with his chin. Another bandit was disabled. The third however managed to fire another arrow before Markus could reach him. Although he tried dodging it, it caught him in the left shoulder and he tripped to the ground. In desperation, he drew the dagger from his boot and threw it at the last bandit, luckily catching him in the neck. He too fell to the ground, clutching his neck.

Assessing the damage, Markus winced as he removed the arrow and healed it just enough to stop the bleeding. He retrieved his dagger and his pack and decided to finish off the second bandit by slicing his throat. With the three dispatched, he made his way for the capital city.
