A run down of an introduction, and rules.

Basically, don't be an asshole. Try to use your manners to the best of your capabilities. I don't hold this to all of you, because sometimes we have to vent. Of course, your vent may be closed/deleted. But that's obvious.

Attempt to use your Best Judgement:
When you think something is funny, at least make sure it is funny. I mean like, when you see a hilarious video [solely judged from your boredom.], try to make sure you're in one of your best moods, and at least have someone say (lol or lulz) to it as well. We don't want anything streaming around here, but only you think it's funny. It's annoying.

Use your best judgement in a situation if you think it is funny, sad, or mean. If it isn't, it's a waste of space.

Grammar, and you.:
Use your grammar to the best of your knowledge. [Sure, I may not have the best or perfect grammar, but I get around.] A majority of you have the ability named, 'Grammar.' It's something everyone should have. [The only exception is, if you are from another country, and English isn't one of your primary languages]. Now, if you are tired or drowsy, make a small effort to use correct spelling [or try to make it similar] and punctuation. We don't care if it's off by a comma or period/question mark/exclamation mark. But don't go around saying,
[I.E.: lulz u guis, i hrrd u r a rp forrrmz dat mak u nerdz!? lulz!].
An example of some-what good English would be;
[I.E.: Hello, I am ___. I heard you guys enjoy roleplaying, and I would like to join you in your endeavors.]

Use your best grammar while posting.

Common Sense.:
Is not so common.

Like I've said before, use your manners. Try not to get into a flame-war here. Not that I'm saying you will not, but at least do not involve any particular attacks on anyone here. That will result in a time-ban, or some other form of "punishment" [basically, it'll just irritate you]. At least attempt to use decency, even if you hate the person you're next to with a fiery passion.

Even if you do not know the person you are flamings' ethnicity/sexual orientation, at least try to be polite while doing so. Do not throw any unnecessary words around, such as racial slurs or the word -faggot-.

Do not be insensitive to a person's color or sexual orientation.

Cursing/Cussing/BAD WORDS.:
Now, we won't ban/kick/delete whatever you say, solely because you used a cuss-word.
But we here at Light and Shade, at least expect you to shorten your bad-mouthing to a limit.

A hand full of 'bad words' are alright, just don't use them too often. I'll use myself as a prime example.

Imagery.:
We do not want to see your cache of porn, just because you like it and look at it commonly. Try to keep your posts to the lowest rate of eroticism/ignorance you can. This includes, rules two, four, and five.

Attempt to use your imagination at any rate, and expect constructive criticism. Do not come crying to us because some one said that the image, "could be better", "is bad", and etc.

Do not post images that include vulgarity, hurtful comments, or repulsive things [to some extent.] And accept constructive criticism, whether or not it is mean. The truth is ugly.

Consent.:
We do not condole theft, and we hope the same goes for you. If you are going to (copy-pasta) use someone's work, at least be ready to have their consent. Consent being the given permission to use someones' work(s). Of course, we will not track you down solely because you posted something that looks out of your league. But we do hope you do not have any intention on stealing.

If you are going to link us, we will gladly oblidge. But please, do not copy-pasta. Gather the consent of the artist. Links/Embeding is fine, because it provides us with a link to the author of this work.

Whether or not you don't like a person on the internet, does not make an exception. Try to respect your fellow person(s) on the forums. At least don't go out and break rules one and five. Yes, you may get into a fight from time to time, but that doesn't mean you may act like a complete idiot just because you don't like them.
